 Keen on Klean Kanteen December 22, 2008
I am very pleased with the Klean Kanteen Stainless Steel water bottle. The 27-ounce size is perfect for keeping clean fresh water at the office (buy two & rotate them). The Poly Loop cap seals well, has not leaked a drop and the loop top makes it easy to carry. If you've been drinking from plastic water bottles, you now have a clean and healthy alternative.

This is a great alternative to plastic water bottles that may leach chemicals into your drinking water. The only drawback I see is that they get really cold when you pour cold drinks into them so you should invest in the cover.
Good bottle, not a fan of the loop cap December 21, 2008
Bottle is great, keeps water cold for hours & has never leaked. My water has never had a metallic taste, but a friend said hers did for the first week or so. I don't like the loop cap because--and this may be true for the other caps, I don't know--it is really difficult to unscrew! I have literally been using a highlighter as a "lever" to open the bottle because I can't budge it with just my hands. Strange...but besides that, I have been happy with my Klean Kanteen.

I'm tryin to drink more water, and I thought a Klean Kanteen would be better for me than some plastic water bottle. I couldn't even use it. It tasted and smelled like metal, even after a few weeks. I guess some of us are just more sensitive to the metallic taste than others.
I eventually got a Sigg and I much, much prefer it. No funny taste or smell. Also, a little cuter.

so far i really like the klean kanteen. FYI, the poly loop cap needs to be screwed on tight to prevent leaking. as long as you remember to do that, you'll be good to go. it can be a pain to unscrew the cap each time, but i try to remember the flip side - no leaks! i wish they made this in 32 oz size...the 40oz can be a little heavy when full. but then again, it's always good to have plenty of water. the opening is wide enough to fit ice cubes, another plus. it does sweat a lot when full of cold liquid, and can be very cold to hold. i should get one of the insulator sacks for it. it's very easy to clean, does not absorb flavors, and does NOT taste metallic like some other bottles. it does seem a little pricey compared to the nalgenes we all got used to, but it's worth it for the benefits this bottle offers.
all in all, i'm very satisfied and would recommend this to anybody looking into a stainless steel water bottle.
