 Not more than average but great when it works right December 24, 2008
These do hold a charge, so I'll give them a 5 on that, but I have found that they do not work well in more cases than when they do work well. These were excellent and a lifesaver on one occasion. I received vinyl vertical blinds which were too long and this was the best tool I could have used to trim each and every slat to a perfect length. The time it took was reduced in a major way than if I had I used another tool and my hands showed no wear. For that I give them a 5+. They are easy to hold in the hand and guide, provided you are cutting something that they want to move through. For plastic cases like the one this arrived within, they are absolutely terrible, stopping even when running and being pulled backward to remove them from the stuck position. I clean the blades and make sure it has a full charge, but in cases like this, they simply do not work well. There are applications where a knife is far superior, but there are the few times in the past two years I have found these to be worth grabbing. For a few dollars, these are worth having on hand, just be sure they are charged regardless of the minutes you are using them. I charge mine monthly and am sure to discharge the battery just to be safe in case the battery really does have a memory.

I own a Commercial Sign Business and have two pair of these scissors. They work wonderfully and stay charged for a very long time.

These scissors are great for everyday use, like cutting paper, card board, packaging, etc. (normal scissor use, it doesn't cut through steel or anything of the sort). It was also a great time to buy them, they do help out with gift packaging in a big way.

I don't have arthritis, I didn't suffer from a stroke, I don't have back problems. I have no excuse for not using old fashioned scissors but I LOVE these Black & Decker power scissors. For wrapping paper alone, they're worth the price. Now my packages look neat with smooth edges.
But when you consider that you can open those hard plastic packages without risk of slicing an artery, what's not to love? (Perhaps to make you appreciate them more when you're using them, they do come packaged in a hard plastic nightmare.)

It would be difficult to find a product that I was more satisfied with than these electric scissors. They do everything they are advertized to do and actually do it better. I purchased these when I had a hand injury which sort of shut me down for a bit, but I did not want to stop my hobbies. The price was right so I went ahead and purchased these figuring that even if they were junk, I had not lost all that much. I have been delighted. I have been so happy with them that I even bought a pair for my sister, and I don't even care all that much for her. I figured what the heck, do at least one nice thing for her, even if she doesn't deserve it. Made me feel like a better person and made my mom feel well also. For cutting needs and helping patch up family difficulties, I do recommend you run out and get a couple pair of these things. If nothing else, use one pair for a bit of hard use, give that one to your sister in the new box of the one you will keep for yourself! Trust me, it works!
