Great taste! Horrible Stomach issues October 7, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
These taste really good and I couldn't even tell the difference between the regular and these sugarless. I don't know what they use as a substitute (mine came without any ingredients listed) but whatever it is gives you really really bad gas, and sometimes diarrhea. It was very painful too. I tried eating them twice and both times the same results. The Gas i have to say is the worse of the two, it lasts for hours and hours and it's extremely embarrassing. I would not buy these again.

I sat down and ate about 100 of these while working on my computer. Ha ha about 3 hrs later we are talking forced Bulimia out the other end. Hey on the bright side it may help dieting - Nothing and I mean Nothing will stay on the inside. Makes you wonder how the FDA can allow this to happen !! Also why is Amazon selling this product.
great taste, just be ready for it to come out the other end! July 4, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I guess I should have read the reviews before buying this for my sister. Just like all these other poor sufferers, by sister, her boyfriend and my mom all had severe diarrhea and stomach cramps just a few hours after eating some. This item should have a warning label: "Do not eat more than 10 in one sitting unless you you are constipated and need a quick and easy laxative." Too bad they taste so yummy. I'm going back to the sugar ones.
Artificial sweeteners bothered bowels June 2, 2008 These gummi bears caused my wife and I terrible gas. Even 1 small handful was enough to cause an effect. We had to throw 9+ pounds of gummi bears away. Tasted good though. Pretty chewy, which I guess is good for gummi bears.
Sugar Free Bears May 30, 2008 They are exactly what I've been looking for. Ever since I found them at whole foods in the Bulk Food area I've loved them. The whole foods by me stopped carrying them so I searched on Amazon and found them.
These bears do taste exactly the same as regular gummy bears. Most people who try them can't tell the difference, but after a while you will start being able to taste the artificial sweetener. Given enough times between "servings" you'll never tell.
Now mind you this is not a "oh since it sugar free I can eat as much as I want" item. This requires moderation. The artificial sweeteners in any diet or sugar free item will usually make people sick, with either runs or gas. Except for very few people, you have to control how much you eat of this or you will get sick.
This food is mainly for diabetics and people who can't have sugar in their diet. They usually control how much they eat of these types of items anyway. Otherwise if you can control how much you're eating at one time and not just using it as a replacement for Regular gummy bears, so you can eat more, this is an excellent item.
And yes since this is Haribo they will have the extra stiffness most people have come to love about this particular gummy company.
