Best Water Timer Available - Highly Recommended May 23, 2008 I highly recommend this water timer. I have had all brands - Nelson, Melnor, Orbit, etc. None are as good as this one. Easy to program, no water hammer (which I had with the other brands). And one of the best features (offered by no others) is that you can turn on your hose for some length of time manually (one or two hours or minutes) and when it is done, it goes right back to the automatic mode. With others I had to go back out then it was done with the manual cycle and put it back on automatic. A real pain.
I highly recommend this water time as the most functional and best performing on the market. It is the poor man's under ground watering system. I have 5 of them with 5 hoses and several goodyear "Y" selector valves connected to my two outside faucets. I water a large yard front and back with these..
Outstanding timer... Buy it. You won't be dissapointed.
There you have it...
Two Dead - Do not buy May 6, 2008 Purchased two at a local store... First was dead on arrival, second was dead after two days.
Would not recommend this product for anyone.
Didn't last long April 23, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
9400 worked for only about 1 season. Leaks like crazy. Cheap piece of junk made in China. All plastic. Live in Texas needs to work for 8 months.
eats batteries like crazy! March 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
On the plus side, it's easy to program. On the downside, this thing worked OK for a month or so, until it just quit unexpectedly and I had to replace the batteries already. Since then, seems like the batteries are exhausted after 1 or 2 weeks, depending on the weather (cold or hot). Of course, each time, I have to reset the time and reprogram it. Not worth the trouble and expense in my opinion.
difficult to program January 1, 2008 Very difficult to program.I will use it manually as it does not work as programed.
