 Traditional for a great deal! September 26, 2007

This Paella kit has all of the traditional components for a great deal, especially for the amount of Saffron you receive. I have also seen the pan alone go for the price of this entire kit. One downside to the kit is that it does not come with directions on how to care for the pan... and it needs a lot of prep work but it's worth it.
-boil vinegar & water, filling pan half way for 20 minutes and dispose of liquid. Wash pan with soap and water and return to stove.
-bring 1 cup vinegar and 1 cup water to a boil in the pan and add a half a cup of rice, cook until rice has absorbed as much liquid as possible, stirring often so rice does not stick to pan, dispose of rice.
-wash pan again with soap and water, dry and rub with vegetable oil
-after every use, season with oil!
