Product Description How to make Thai Iced Tea:Thai iced tea is one of the first things people fall in love with when dining at a typical Thai restaurant. It is a native-grown red-leafed tea which is spiced with star anise seed. It is usually brewed strong and then blended with a rich swirl of Half & Half or milk. Delicious! 6 cups water 1 cup Thai tea (cha Thai) 1 cup sugar (vary according to taste)Add a little Half & Half into each serving to tasteBring the water to a boil in a large saucepan. Add the tea and remove the pan from heat. Stir to submerge all the tea leaves in the water. Steep for about 5 minutes. Pour the brew through a coffee filter or a fine-mesh strainer into a large pitcher. Add the sugar to the hot tea and stir to dissolve. Cool to room temperature. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. To serve: Fill tall glasses with crushed ice. Add enough of the tea to fill the glasses to within 1 inch from the top. Add a little Half & Half into each serving to taste

Unclear instructions June 9, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Having only tasted this tea in a Thai restaurant, I was unsure how long to steep this tea. I emailed the merchant and did not receive a reply. I steeped this tea evidently for too long a period consequently no one found it palatable.
Shipping cost more than product! May 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The shipping charge is rediculous considering how light weight this product is. It contains way too much food coloring and will stain if you spill it. The flavor is ok but not as wonderful as the tea in Thai restaurants. Overall I am dissapointed and will not buy it again from this seller.
Just amazing February 23, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I just received this thai tea and it was just amazing! I had recently gone to a thai restaurant and had the iced thai tea and I wanted to make it at home. I tried this tea and it tasted exactly like the restaurant tea. They shipped it to me within two days. The price was very reasonable. I have no complaints. I will continue to order this item in the future.
