One of the best, and most verstaile of the Torani flavors, creme de menthe is a non-alcoholic alternative that goes well with coffee (the combo got me through some nasty data analysis), hot chocolate, and over desserts. It's sugary and syrupy, but that's why it's best used in beverages that can hold up to it; i.e., it doesn't--of course--have the delicacy of tast, bouquest, or flavor of fresh mint. However, it adds another layer of flavor to many recipes, it's relatively inexpensive, and it has that colorful, Italianate bottle that adds to the ambience of any would-be home coffee house.
