Hi-Chew Rules! ^_^ August 11, 2008 I first had Hi-Chew in Japan many years ago, and it is difficult to find it in stores. When I found it on Amazon I was very pleased. It is delicious but can be a bit touch on the teeth as it is a taffy type candy. If you like Japanese candy, give it a try!
Super Yummy!!!! July 7, 2006 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I picked up a pack of the Strawberry high-chew candy at my local asian Ranch 99 store- it was so good! My husband and I shared the pack within a day. I do suggest that if you have a Ranch 99 in your area to check it out before buying it online- I paid $.70 for the pack. They had most of the flaovrs too, so next time I go, you better be sure I am going to buy one of each. Oh, and the pack I got was all in English- helpful when you can't read Japanesse. :)
Not as sweet January 11, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I got hooked on these in Hong Kong where my American candy choices were Starburst and Skittles, both sugar rushes of the extreme sort. This candy is not as sweet as those, but a bit sweeter than most Asian candy (many of my Chinese friends find it too sweet for their taste, but many of my American friends say it is not sweet enough). I kind of like the middle ground, trying to cut back on my sugars.
YUM October 21, 2005 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The first time I tasted hi-chew, I fell in love with the unique texture! There's nothing more satistfying that chewing a piece of hi-chew, which is unlike any American candy that I have ever eaten. It is softer than most American taffys, and comes in lots of delicious flavors! I suggest grape, lychee, and strawberry!
Best candies to share September 29, 2005 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
All my friends love these candies. Nothing is better to share during the recess. Each pack has 12 pieces. It is very popular for the party goody bags.
