It works, but you need to keep using it August 18, 2008 It works alright, It doesn't get all of the dirt and grit and when it says "does not leave residue" make sure you rinse really well. I rinsed the car about 3 times and finally just got fed up and took a damp towel. Doesn't remove swirl marks the first time so maybe you have to keep using it. It does a good job otherwise.
Great Product July 1, 2008 It works well when used correctly. The car should be washed and wet when applying the product. Put some on rub it in and wash off. This takes a fraction of the time as an actual clay bar, and you are rewarded for your time. Next step is to dry and polish the car, you get a nice clean and polished car for not much time or effort at all.
Good product when used right June 6, 2008 I bought this product when it first came out after I had such a good result from the liquid ICE polish. I had never used a clay bar before and my previous cleaner wax was the mothers step 1 of the 3 step system. The mothers works very well, but its VERY labor intensive. One of the big positives to the ICE polish is the efficiency, so I was hoping the clay bar would follow suit. My first experience was a pretty bad one. I followed the instructions, only to have a swirly, filmy result. I had the product in my garage for several months, until i went to give it another try. After reading it works better with a totally wet car, I washed my car, and before drying, put the clay bar on. Let me say the results were FAR better than previous. No swirl marks, left a nice smooth finish to the paint. I have a Blitz Blue scion tc, which is a very vibrant color, and after I had removed the clay bar and dried the car, it had a very rich luster to it.
In short, wash your car with soap, rinse the soap and then apply the liquid clay bar before drying. Do your whole car at one time, going from front to back. This way, it will be dry by the time you finish. Rinse your car throughly to remove the clay bar. Dry and apply some Liquid ICE polish to complete it.
The biggest positives to the whole ICE system is the speed, efficiency and the lack of white residue on black trim pieces. True, the ICE system may not work as well as some mothers or Maguires, but you can wash, clay bar, polish and buff your whole car in a fraction of the time of the other products.
Must Use When Vehicle Is Wet November 15, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product must be applied to the vehicle while it is wet. The directions on the bottle do not say this. I used it the first time when the vehicle was dry and it did leave a thin film behind. When I used it when the vehicle was wet I had excellent results. Better than the clay bar and alot quicker. If the vehicle isn't really dirty just wet the car really good and then use the clay liquid. After you do this I like to wash the car just in case there is a film left. Then apply your favorite wax. Remember the clay liquid removes your previous wax layer you must wax after if you want protection.

Buy a real clay bar, they work better and are actually easier to use. This stuff does not take the grit out of your paint. Vigorously scrubbing, recommended on the label for tough areas, didn't help for the light areas. I had to use a clay bar to get the silky smooth results I wanted, after I used this junk. Waste of time and money.
