Product Description There's more to going to the movies than seeing the movie itself - it's the popcorn! Now, with the Whirley Pop Popcorn Maker, you can make fluffy, delicious popcorn just like you get at the theater. The stay-cool hardwood handle turns the stainless steel paddle inside, preventing scorching and burning, and making certain every kernel pops up like it should. The steam vents on top allow moisture to escape so the popcorn is always light and tender. Much quicker than microwaving, the popper makes up to 6 quarts and comes with a 25 year warranty. Also included with the popper is 1 popcorn packets (each one making up to 6 quarts) and "secret ingredient" flavoring packets that give the popcorn that movie-popcorn taste. The popper also comes with a recipe book for more popcorn flavor ideas.Pan is made of aluminum and the lid is made of stainless steel and aluminum.
Amazon.com Review Face it, sometimes the best thing about going out to a movie is the popcorn, those big plump kernels that always seem so much better than what you pop at home. But this simple stovetop popper changes all that. It really does make awesome, fresh-popped corn that might make you start renting videos instead. The sturdy aluminum pan has a clip-on lid with a stay-cool wooden handle. A turn crank on the handle spins the key element: the stainless steel stirring system that keeps the corn moving across the bottom of the pan, for even heat and oil distribution, ensuring the best popping results. The lid has steam vents, to help keep the popcorn dry and crisp. The enclosed booklet is a wonderful resource, with not only clear and detailed instructions, but also dozens of recipes and popcorn history and lore. These are folks who really do know their popcorn, and the results are outstanding. --Cynthia Nims

Disappointing December 4, 2008 Had it for a year and it breaks. The plastic cog that drives the stirring mechanism cracked. Would I buy this again? No. Why would anyone put plastic into a product that is subject to such heat? Very disappointing indeed.
Best Popcorn Ever! December 2, 2008 The sample packet of popcorn that ships with this popper tasts very good, but the oils in it are not the most healthy choice. I use a teaspoon of corn oil, a bit less than half a cup of premium yellow popcorn, two tablespoons of Fleischmann's margarine, put it all in and crank over medium fire and have never had better popcorn! We have used ours for a year and I just bought four on the 4 for 3 deal for Christmas gifts. That made them fifteen bucks each. Unbeatable value! I suggest those who broke the gears used too much corn and got the stirrer jammed.
Fun, but I was disappointed December 1, 2008 Ours burned the first time we ever used it -- and we followed the directions to a "t"; didn't use high heat. And once this thing gets burned it is almost impossible to ever use it again. Oh, well.
My husband loves this! November 25, 2008 We have always had Friday night popcorn with the kids, and it has always been of the artery clogging variety...until we bought the whirley-pop. It makes a HUGE difference in taste. I know I should wonder why this would make a difference, but I don't care. The popcorn is awesome and now all we do is add some salt and dig in!
Pop into a delicious treat! November 17, 2008 My Mom introduced me to the Whirley-Pop when I was a teenager and I have never been able to go back to microwave popcorn since. It is fun, safe for kids to help with and makes a perfectly healthy snack. I have found that adding just a touch of Agave Nectar to the oil while heating makes the popcorn taste like Kettle corn! There are a variety of ways you can "shake up" plain popcorn, but this way is my favorite. The Whirley-Pop is a inexpensive way to have a bit of fun with your kids while making a healthy treat.
