Product Description
There might be white salt powder or salt crystal flecked on the surface of the plum, which will not influence the taste of the plum. Plum will taste even better after chilled.

When I first opened my package today, I smelled something very strange. It turns out that these "candies" are awful smelling. However, I chilled them, as it suggests, and they really do taste better cold. I love trying new foods, but I would never leave the U.S. This is a great way to experiance new culture from the safety of your own home without having to worry about some horrible disease. I got another recipe from a library cookbook called "onigiri" and it calls for "ume" which is what this is. I chopped 'em up (removed the pit) and stuffed them in rice. It is actually quite tasty and I plan on making them again. My children and husband don't like it, but I'm from a small town, and most people, including myself, don't like oriental food or any such thing. This is quite tasty!!!

The smell of these things is unbearable. The taste is equally as horrible. I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone BUY THIS! They taste awful. I am going to give out the extra ones for halloween as "gag candy." I repeat DO NOT BUY THIS STUFF, TASTES AWFUL!

This isn't really a candy, it's actually a whole plum in each wrapper with a crunchy skin and sweet "pickled" taste. It's somewhat addictive, and goes fast. Surprising how loaded with carbs it is. Very tasty and unique.
