This is the very best lemon tang in the world! You have the outer bon-bon which is nice and tart. When you break through to the inner whang, it is a quick sour rush that is unique, delicious and memorable.
I got addicted to Napoleon Bon Bons in the late 1950s, early 1960s in Vicksburg, Mississippi and when I moved, never found a candy store or department store or grocery store that sold the product. I was absolutely delighted to find these, a mere 50 years later. It was with a lot of trepidation I ordered - was my memory of the flavor and sour whang kick accurate or was it clouded by 50 years of doing without.
Ah, spectacular!
