Tobermory Malt Whisky Fudge
We got this as a gift and I must say I've ended up quite liking it. It lasts a really long time because it is super sweet and rich and it is hard to eat more than 2 (even if you really want to). When you open the tin there are about 30-40 individually wrapped pieces of caramel colored fudge squares. The tin and the fudge itself reeks of whiskey! You can definitely taste it in the product. The texture is soft and sticky and when you chew it has a bit of a gritty texture. I don't mind gritty, but another person who tried it couldn't get past it. Now after 2 I felt a little funny, it gives you a sugar rush for sure! There are no nutritional facts listed, but it says it contains no hydrogenated oils or fats, and the ingredients are:
Sugar, Glucose Syrup (Maize and Wheat), Sweetened Condensed Skimmed Milk (Skimmed Milk, Sucrose, Lactose). Vegetable fat, Tobermory Malt Whisky (1%). Flavouring, Salt. Allergen data: This product contains Milk and Wheat.
It's something interesting to try and have to give guests or give as a gift. Product of Scotland.
