Packin' it away... September 30, 2004 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
Ya know, I have a high degree of appreciation for those folks at the Ultimate Nut & Candy Company who put the fudge pieces into those cute little treasure-chest boxes. Yep, you guessed it: I'm talkin' 'bout the fudge packers! Hour after hour they tirelessly labor, packing that fudge away for shipment 'round the world. It sounds like a fairly respectable if not very high-payin' job to me... yet there seems to be some sorta stigma attached to people who pack fudge for a living. Why is this, I wonder? Don't the masses realize that fudge packers are a vital component of candy packaging and distribution? After all, the entire confectionery industry as we know it would collapse without the unflagging resolve of fudge packers!
Anyhoo, on with the review proper: While I found this medley of different fudges quite toothsome and delectable, they don't exactly measure up to the stuff my mom throws together for the holidays. But then, what candy ever does, right? Still, if there were no other alternative, this particular brand would be near the top of my list of fave fudges, right below the stuff See's puts out. Now if they'd make it just a tad more buttery, it'd probably shoot right to the top of my fave-pre-fab-fudge chart...
