Easy to assemble and easy to clean. I used 5 lbs of liquid chocolate for a continous fountain flow...a hit at the party. I was expecting a low quality item for the price I paid for but guess what, this item is much better than the one I previously owned which cost 4x more and did'nt last long.

I bought this product for my daughter's 13th birthday party, and it was a huge hit! My daughter's friends loved it and they had so much fun! Before I purchased it, I read most of the reviews, and I'm glad I did. Some ended up with disasterous results and some recommended Signature's Chocolate Fondue mix instead of making it from scratch. I didn't want to risk my daughter's party, so I followed their recommendations and bought the fondue mix. It cost more but it was worth the extra money; it was the easiest thing in the world (you just melt it in the microwave and pour it in the fountain), and it was absolutely mess-free. I chose milk chocolate and it tasted delicious. I strongly recommend this product to anybody who is looking for something fun for special occasions.

I bought this for my mother's birthday. I was a little nervous at first, I had no experience with fondue fountains. I didn't want to go too expense, and from the other reviews I read, this one seemed to work pretty well.
It didn't work pretty well, it worked great! We bought an array of different chocolate and tried it all. It always works perfectly and the chocolate flows nicely. Added a lot of fun to our family get togethers. East to clean, nice looking, a must!
 Quit working the third time I used it July 25, 2008
The first two times I used the fountain it worked wonderfully. I offered it to a friend for his wedding reception (I personally assembled it and added the chocolate) and all was well the first ten minutes it was on -- then it just stopped. It continuted to heat the chocolate in the well so people could dip their strawberries, etc., in the well, but the auger didn't work. Thus, the chocolate didn't flow over the tiers, which totally ruined the aesthetic effect of the fountain. I might as well have put a pan of melted chocolate out for people to dip into. We checked it after returning home and cleaning it out. The motor was dead. Because the fountain worked only twice before dying, I have to give it one star.
Delicious and user friendly July 12, 2008
I had heard horror stories from other fountain users. I was in search of a fountain to use at my sisters 40th bday party. Came on to amazon looked at the different products and reviews. I purchased the Rival one. Once again looked at the suggestions for the chocolate. Purchased the liquid.
SOOOOOO!!!!! simple put the machine together 2 hours before the party heated the chocolate as directed what a HIT everyone young and old loved it. Simple clean up did it with white pants on and didn't get a thing on myself. A great product made better with informative reviews.
