From the other four reviews, I expected these truffles to be really great. My first concern was when I opened the shipping box. There was coco powder everywhere. In the shipping box, all over the wrapper, inside the wrapper, etc. just clouds of it and it coated my fingers when I picked up a truffle. They had obviously gone way overboard on the coco powder covering the truffles. It should be a light dusting, not enough to choke a horse. When I bit into the truffle, my mouth and throat were coated in dry coco powder, at first it was all I could taste, not pleasant at all.
The truffle itself was disappointing too. The outer shell of chocolate was very thick and very hard so I had to really put some effort into biting into the truffle and in chewing it up. Plus the filling was not nice, it tasted only of honey. I didn't get a flavor of chocolate at all, just hard, powder covered shell and then honey. I would not buy these again.

It is CHOCOLATE my friends.
What I'm looking for as the shopper (so I know I'll get the right reaction from my recipient)is the instant, "OH MY GOD, this is incredible!" gratification from the receiver.
And these most certainly deliver.
For the same price, these put Godiva's to shame.

These truffles definitely hit the spot. They are just bitter enough on the shell to give the inner sweetness a little edge. Even coworkers who don't usually like truffles loved these.

After recieving this as a gift from my Amazon wishlist, I expected some incredible dark flavor. And that's exactly what I got.
Inside the hard, outer capsule of the delicate chocolate awaited a divine rush of untainted flavor. It was more than just another chocolate, and much more than just another taste.
Afterwards, it felt like I had eaten a darkly rich slice of cake, and one was more than enough to satisfy an entire dessert.
This chocolate is highly recommended for all, though a dark chocolate lover will get much more from the exquisite culmination.

The presentation is regal. The contents are exquisite with a presentation card from Leonidas. The truffles are hand made there is no doubt. My first bite is firm before I taste the dark creamy center. I ate only two because they are that special. They left a light pleasant reminder on my tongue (and for a moment I felt as though I had a slight lift as from an espresso). It is the first chocolate I have had where a fine champagne entered my mind as being complimentary. And if that is not enough...the message I wrote my wife ("that I worship you") was not typed, but hand written in ink by hand with style on Leonida's own chocolate stationary. Gentlemen, it is not too late to surprise your wives on Mother's Day with a real gem.
