Love this detergent! December 1, 2008 I've been using this detergent now for about a year and it works just as good as regular detergent. I do use Biokleen for the pre-treatment, but as a detergent, Seventh Generation is great!
Great Green Detergent! October 12, 2008 Seventh Generation Detergent along with cold water gives you the results that you are looking for!
Good detergent, better for the environment July 29, 2008 Okay, so the wonderful smell doesn't really linger on your clothes, but I feel a lot better about using this product with our septic system than I would with some of the name brand scented detergents. Good for our front-loading washer, and I only need a few tablespoons to get a good, solid cleaning. No excess sudsing, either.
Works OK, not a great product though June 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have been using this detergent for about a year now (bought using subscribe and save, which is awesome for the discount and convenience). We prefer detergents with no dyes and fragrances as well as being environmentally smart. We have used in two different HE, front-loading washers.
Positives: + Works fine for normally soiled clothes + No dyes or perfumes so no skin irritation + Great for environment + Great for septic systems
Negatives: - Does not perform well in cold for front-loading washers where the water has to mix it in the tray then circulate. If you use cold water, you'll probably end up with a solid cake of about half the detergent placed in it at the end of the cycle meaning time to re-wash. - Not being able to effectively use cold is counter to environmentally friendly. - The detergent cakes into large lumps in the box after a few weeks making it a pain to scoop and use. I understand this is part of being environmentally friendly, but there has to be an anti-caking agent that works.
Good start June 4, 2008 I love that this product is environmentally friendly, but every now and then the soap doesn't rinse away completely and it isn't strong enough to keep whites white.
