Product Description Don't miss important calls when the ringer is off. The Light-Up Indicator with Ringer Alert at the base of the antenna of the KX-TG4322B Expandable Cordless Phone will flash quickly to show that you have an incoming call, and it will flash slowly to let you know you have a new message. Now you can program each handset to ring at your discretion. Before going to sleep, simply set the bedside handset to Night Mode so that it won't ring in your bedroom. In the meantime, the handset in the den will still ring when that important call comes in without disturbing the person who's sleeping. Excellent phone January 6, 2009 As another reviewer mentioned I tend to use my cell phone as my primary phone so my previous landline phone was a cheap analog device. Eventually it broke so I chose this model to replace it. It was a little bit pricier than some of the others I was considering, but since I now get free long distance from my cable company it seemed worth it.
I am very glad I chose it. While I don't really care for the asthetics of this phone, I find the features and quality of it to be perfect. The sound quality is crystal clear and MUCH better than my previous phone. With my old phone I found that depending on where I was in my condo it would sometimes interfere with the phones of people on the apartments on either side of me and pick up parts of their conversation. Thankfully I no longer have that issue with the new phone.
Beyond the clarity of the sound I especially appreciate the phone book feature. Once you have a cell phone you get very dependent on the phone book feature so I appreciate being able to store so many numbers and access them from both phones.
I agree, as another reviewer mentioned, a backlit keypad would be nice, but do appreciate the ability to turn the answering machine and ringer off for nighttime hours.
I also appreciate that the phone uses rechargeable AA batteries rather than a battery pack because I can swap in other recharegable batteries in a pinch if I forget to charge it. However, it has a great battery life overall and I love that when unused it can stay off the charger for 11-12 hours before it runs out of battery.
Overall this may not be the most attractive phone, but it has great sound quality, features, and battery life which makes it the perfect buy for me.
voice cuts off January 5, 2009 I saw the reveiws on this phone and thats why i got it...but i am not satisfied...alot of times the voice doesnt go through ... even when its charged...i keep on talking and the other party doesnt hear me...and then i can hear them say "hello? hello?" and then i have to hang up and call them again!
and i cant even return it because its over 30 days. im really upset!
Good phone December 21, 2008 A good phone with nice functions. A slight echo on one of the handsets but otherwise a good purchase.
Good phone December 15, 2008 So far the phone is fine. I had an older version of a panasonic phone for years that started cuting off after about 30 minutes of talk. That and sticking keys prompted the new purchase. The new one is smaller in size, takes up less space and my callers on the other end sound much clearer. I hadn't realize that the latter was a problem as well. The range is good but then I have a small place. I like that you can change the ring tones to identify when it is someone you want to hear from and someone whom you may not want to hear from. I recommend purchasing this phone.
