Almost perfect January 4, 2009 I would rather give this three and a half stars and not four. This is a great sprinkler and a great idea but could use some improvements.
First, it could be bigger. It is a lot smaller then I thought it was going to be.
The noodles are not as flexible as they need to be but I could understand that if they are too flexible they may not be able to stand up. And sometimes its hard to get a noodle bent into position especially if your trying to bend the noodle downward pretty far. Sometimes you have to bend past the angle you want and let the noodle straighten a bit to where you intend it to spray.
I did find that it worked better if you place the sprinkler on a pole and have the noodles pointed up and adjust them according to where the water lands on the garden.
But the one big plus is when I watered my garden I was able to point a noodle to my lily plant near the garden and have it get watered the same time the garden did. And even tho it took a while to get the sprinkler adjusted to cover the garden, it still was able to water the entire garden. I have no other sprinkler that has done that so far.
Im not sorry I bought this becuase I was able to make it work. But, like I said, it could use a couple improvements.
more like a toy December 30, 2008 If you are looking for something for your kids to run through this product will probably work but it is not an efficient way to water a big or small area. In order to set a pattern it has to be running which means you get wet until you get it figured out. In addition the spray is so fine that the slightest breeze effects the coverage. Would not recommend.
Noodlehead lawn sprinkler November 5, 2008 Very pleased. Works great so far. Easy enough to use and will consider getting a few more.
Just like it says October 28, 2008 This sprinkler does just what it says it will do. You can make your own pattern so that you can more accurately water just the area you want. Will be a water saver.
more for a semi-permanant installation September 24, 2008 Maybe I didn't read carefully enough, but it surprised me that it was so small. I guess it does what it says it will, but again, I was surprised how fussy it was to get aimed the way you want. Once you get it set, you don't want to mess with it any more. I think this was discussed in the description. I should have paid more attention. Also, as suggested, being able to adjust the flow with an added shut-off valve helps a lot.
I can see it being most useful mounted in a semi-permanant location. I was looking for something more portable and versatile. I don't regret buying one. I'm looking for just the right place for it.
