Product Description Fiesta Black 486 16-Ounce Sauceboat
Amazon.com Review First manufactured in 1936 during Art Deco's later, less ornate phase, Fiestaware went out of production in the 1970s but returned in the 1980s and now enjoys unprecedented popularity. Older pieces fetch hundreds or even thousands of dollars at auction. The new line offers the original designs in contemporary colors at affordable prices. To complete a same-color set or to complement your collection of multicolored Fiestaware, this curvaceous sauceboat is essential. Made of vitrified china with a gleaming, lead-free glaze, the sauceboat holds 12 to 14 ounces, measures 8 inches from spout to handle, and is both dishwasher- and microwave-safe. --Fred Brack

Just Like Grandma's April 18, 2008 I've always wanted a gravy boat like my grandmother had, and this is it. It holds a nice amount, has a nice spout, and just reminds me of dinner at Grandma's in the 50s and 60s. This color is being discontinued and Amazon had it at a better price than the manufacturer. I may buy another one in a different color!
Form and function in one package! December 27, 2007 This beautiful gravy boat has lovely styling. It adds pizazz to any dinner table along with its usefulness. I only wish it would come with a little plate to catch drips as I have seen with some of the other colors.
need I say more? December 11, 2007 I love fiesta ware. I LOOOOOOOVVVVVE it! I broke my gravy boat and could hardly wait to replace it with a new FIESTA WARE gravy boat.
Good gravy! October 17, 2003 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Well, I never thought I'd own a gravy boat, but here I am! Owning a gravy boat. As gravy boats go, it just sits in the cupboard and takes up space unless it's Thanksgiving or Christmas or I feel like cooking a turkey (Ha!). But it's very nice, easy to hold even when it's filled with hot gravy, and it holds a lot. Much easier to clean than any of those fancy metal ones.
Cobalt Blue October 5, 2002 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I purchased this in Cobalt Blue. It goes with my Fiestaware dishes, as well as my Pzaltsgraf and Longerberger Pottery. I also agree that the color and glaze are beautiful, and much nicer in person than online. It has a large capacity, and pleasing lines. I'll most likely purchase an additional one in another color for larger holiday meals, to be able to use more than one.
