Amazon.com Review The perfect set to kick off a Fiestaware collection, equip a college dorm room, or pair with other Fiestaware pieces for a larger set, this five-piece place setting from Fiestaware consists of a dinner plate, salad plate, bowl, 7.75-ounce cup, and saucer. Celebrated in the 1940s, '50s, and '60s for its streamlined art deco look and colorful glazes, Fiestaware is enjoying a remarkable comeback today. All pieces in this set have the signature Fiestaware rings and match Fiestaware pieces in sunflower yellow or other colors such as turquoise or juniper. With over 50 Fiestaware dinnerware and accessory pieces to choose from, you can build your collection over time starting with this one-person set. The 100 percent lead-free glaze is nonporous, so it won't absorb foods, and it's durable enough to withstand the microwave and dishwasher. Some stainless-steel flatware may leave marks on the plates, but these can be easily removed with a nonabrasive cleanser. --Emily Wolf What's in the Box 1 place setting. Place setting consists of: dinner plate; salad plate; bowl; 7.75-ounce cup; saucer. 5 pieces total.

Excellent seller November 9, 2008 Product was as discribed. Very fast shipping. Direct on correspondence. Would purchase from them again.
I never cared much about dishes until... August 17, 2008 Five years ago, I had bought ten place settings of tangerine and cinnabar because I had run out of dishes due to breakage. I was looking for thick dishes in bold fall colors that could withstand the microwave, oven, and dishwasher. As I was stumbling on a random web search, I came across Fiestaware. I found the company's history fascinating, that it was a couple of hundred miles from me, but they snared me with the fact that they were lead-free and American-made. At the time, Amazon had the best price for them.
After my family and I have abused these dishes through daily use, I have only lost one salad plate due to a fall onto concrete (and bought a replacement easily). I have even used it from freezer to oven a few times with no trouble. The colors are still striking and solid even with a few scratches, no chips or cracks anywhere. That alone is worth the premium for these items in my opinion.
I never saw myself as someone who cared much about anything kitchen-related (unless the item didn't work) until I discovered Fiestaware. I never thought I'd actually say I love and adore these dishes, let alone review them. In short, just buy them and don't let the little scratches bug you. (If you are worried about that, try using some tile/grout sealer on the exposed parts of the bottom and/or stacking them between paper or cloth.)
fiestaware place setting July 12, 2008 Fiesta Dinnerware, 5-piece setting. Was delivered promptly, however, one of the plates has discoloration on the back, almost looks like color did not take.
Durability and colors too! July 4, 2008 I love the durability of Fiestaware compared to my previous Pfaltzgraf dishes which chipped and broke more easily and were more expensive. I also like the flexibility of mixing and matching colors. The colors are vibrant and are a great addition to my kitchen decor. I currently own persimmon, cinnibar, and shamrock. Though the persimmon looks pink in the amazon pictures, they are actually an orange/dark coral color and beautiful!
It's Fiesta Ware! June 24, 2008 Reviewing some products seems like a waste of time. I once saw a review of one of my favorite guns amongst the review of other similiar guns. It said, "It's a Walther PPKS. 'Nuff said." The writer then did an actual review of the next gun. Fiesta Ware has been around long enough that it doesn't need actual reviews, so I'll just say; The color was real nice and it complimented the rest of the set. My wife loved them. Buy them. They'll be classic some day.
