Product Description
Papilio, French for "butterfly", produces flowers that actually appear capable of fluttering away. The most famous of the exotic amaryllis, Papilio makes an amazing houseplant, growing larger as the seasons pass with the addition of smaller side bulbs. Snowy petals with maroon brushings and stripes, tinged with lime green. Flowers are 6" across and numerous. Truly a winged wonder. Expect multiple flower stalks with 4 to 6 blooms on each. Typically flowers in 10-12 weeks indoors.

The papillio is such an outstanding variety among the many beauties of the amaryllis varieties. Enormous, long-lasting flowers create drama and a tropical flair indoors any place in the country! This is among my most popular Christmas gifts for friends and family, particularly for those in cold winter climates! So very easy to care for, and stunning results!
