Awesome bowls December 16, 2008 I ordered these bowls after seeing both Tyler Florence and Sunny Anderson using these on the Food Network channel. Not only do these look great, they are deep and prevent ingredients from splashing out. I used these quite a bit at Thanksgiving. I wish they had a 5qt or 6 qt size as well.
Similar to Food Network bowl, but not as large. December 15, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Besides being visually appealing, these bowls are highly functional due to their height. While some of the Food Network chefs may use these from time to time, the large mixing bowl most of them use is a discontinued Bodum Superbowl (All Purpose Bowl, Large). If you buy this set thinking that the largest bowl holds 200 ounces like the Bodum, you will be disappointed. The largest in this set is 4 quart, or 128 ounces. Regardless, this is a nice and inexpensive set. I encourage you to call Anchor Hocking and ask them to add a 5 and 6 quart option to their line up, as I will.
Best Bowls Ever December 4, 2008 I am an avid fan of Foodnetwork and especially Tyler Florence. I have been looking for bowls like he uses and THESE ARE THE ONES! They are just great and definitely are splash proof~!!
Excellent salad bowls October 31, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
These bowls have a beautiful shape and look very nice on the dining table. I love these bowls, and use them every day. I use them for my vegetable stews and curries. I also use them as salad serving bowls & salads look great in them. They are beautifully designed and great for tossed salads for 2 to 10, depending on the bowl you use. They are quite heavy, sturdy and easy to maintain. I throw mine into the dishwasher. I bought my set for Walmart for about the same price. I'd have bought it from amazon.com had I known that they carried it. I'm thinking of getting a second set. At Walmart, you can buy individual bowls. The smallest one can be used as individual soup bowls.
Great Quality October 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love these bowls! They are the ones many of the chefs use on the Food Network. I have been looking for these for a long time! They have a nice thick rim and a great look!
